Overview

During my time at Amtrak, I worked on designing customer-facing products and collaborated with different teams. I worked on designing for both mobile apps and desktops. I will not be able to share all designs since they are internal to the organization.

Summary

During my time at Amtrak, I worked on various projects and got to work on the end-to-end design processes from user research, wireframing, designing high-fidelity mockups, and usability testing to the shipping of the final product. I worked with the UX team on the new booking path for One Way and Round Trip Tickets and made updates to the Modify Flow. At Amtrak, we used a Mobile-first approach as we worked to make the booking path fully responsive. Summary

We originally released a Beta version of the site that received an increasing fraction of our website traffic before fully integrating it into the main site. Learnings

  • I collaborated with multiple teams like product, engineering, content, market research, etc.
  • I got to polish my skillset and implement things I learned during my Master's program. 
  • I learned about project management, governance, and how to pitch ideas to the leadership.
